U.S. Prestige Beauty Market Outpaced Mass Channel In 2015, NPD Group Reveals

In the United States, the prestige beauty market grew 7 percent to $16 billion in 2015, compared with the previous year, according to NPD Group. Data from the market research firm revealed the makeup segment recorded the biggest growth at 13 percent, with fragrance growing 4 percent, outpacing skincare, which expanded 3 percent, for the first time. During the Hot Off The Press event in New York, NPD Group presented its 2015 Review of Beauty Sales report.
